R&B songstress Monica confirmed that her forthcoming LP `Still Standing` will be hitting stores early 2009, during a recent message to her fans. The 28 year old star cites the fact that she is still in the studio working on the record as the reason for the delay.

Singer Monica recently sat down for an interview with StraightFromTheA.com to talk about her kids and her engagement to the father of her two children. In the interview,Monica mentions that her fiance Rocko Da Don a.k.a Rodney Ramone Hill proposed to her on Christmas Eve:

I just wanted to share with you my new book titled: Sisters Stop Asking Sisters, I'm A Black Man Just Ask Me! The book is the journey into the uncut thoughts of African-American men regarding their perception of women, dating and relationships.

The songs you sing about relationshiops, are so related to so many subjects in my book, I thought you might really enjoy reading it.

The twist to this book is: It's written by a female.

I just want to say that I watched monica's show last night on peachtree tv and was completely appauled by the answer of the executive at J" records for telling her that her new song "still standing" should not be her first single that song was so deep, and just confirmed me as a fan. the Guy at J" records is a complete donkey!
