Reporting all the way from Kandahar, Afghanistan. I love this new album. I couldn't wait until it was released. I have listen to every track on this album and I can relate to most of them. My favorite track on the album is "Believing In Me". When I first heard the song it brought tears to my eyes. This album is definitely for the ladies that have been through something’s and just didn't have the words to help them realize it. Monica you truly don't get the respect that you are due. There's plenty artists in the music industry that just sing songs other individuals write and don't get me wrong its nothing wrong with that, because everyone needs help every now and then. But when you start putting your life in music it means something. My two favorite female artists are you Monica and Mary J. Blige. Between you two women the both of you have been through a lot in life and I’ve learned so much through your music experience as well as my own. The New album is very good. I have all of Monica's cd's. I'm mainly writing this because I read online that "Here I Am" will be the next single. I strongly feel that would be a HUGE mistake and would kill the momentum of the album in the way that releasing "knock knock" after "so gone" did on the after the storm album. The songs that have the most HIT SINGLE potential to follow "everything to me" are "stay or go" and "love all over me". I also enjoyed "the makings of me" album and felt that it would've been much more successful if "hell no, why her and getaway" would've been released as singles instead of what was released. I'm writing this out of the love I have for Monica as an artist. She is one of my all time favorites. I want to see Monica reach platinum status again and "Here I Am" as a single will not do much to get her there. I hope someone with the power to make decisions acutally reads this and takes it into consideration. Maybe there should be a poll for the fans to pick the next single. Once again the new album is very good. I wish Monica the best and BE BLESSED.

Drove around for an hour after work to get the album, all Targets were sold out, finally found it at Best Buy. I've been a TRUE fan since Miss Thang when I was 15, and I am so happy that the album is getting the love that it is receiving. Monica deserves it, she is a great artist who got slept on from the last album, which I still bump REGULARLY, and truly love. I am liking this new album, as always, I love Monica best, when she does Monica, and brings all of the elements that are her, (great vocals, feeling, great music, beat, interesting background nuances, and harmony) to a song. That being said, "Stay or Go" is perfection. PLEASE make that your next single, bc EVERYONE who didn't have the sense to pick up your album, should hear it. You rode that and rocked it...and of course, "Love All Over Me" is everything. "Believe in Me" touches me, even though I didn't want to be, and inspires me, even though I didn't realize I needed to be. A beautiful song, and songs of that nature are usually not my preference to listen to...but you did that, WELL. The only thing I hate is that I was SO looking forward to the song Here I Am, that song rocks! And Monica's voice and the way she uses it with songs turns any song into butter, so this joint would have been a double whammy. But parts of the chorus are almost a bit inaudible...which took away, it would have went much harder, if the hooks/choruses had been more clear and pronounced, and Monica's voice had been more present on those parts. All in all, its a great album, I hope its success reminds her of the powerhouse and necessity, she truly is, and inspires her to come back with more greatness.

First of all, I am NOT a one to purchase an album, but I purchased 6 of these albums today. One for the car, and one for the house.. I havent' quite figured out exactly what i'm going to do with the remaining 4 yet, but I'll handle that when I get to it..LOL. I have sat and listened to the entire album from beginning to end (which is something else that I never do) and I absolutely LOVE every song.. (Love All over Me----YOU DID THAT!!!!!!) Monica, BABY GURL, you did it again !! I dont know which I adore more--the actual music itself, or the person bringing the music to my ears !!! Every album, every song, every run--I can feel your heart in it 120% and I dig that ! You are a beautiful person inside and out, and I pray for continual happiness for you because you deserve it ! I Luv You sooooo much baby gurl!!!

Monica dont don't know if you read the blogs or reviews but I just want to say this is your best album yet not disrespect to the other albums but this is by far is the best album, cd of all time will bea classic this is coming from the heart. I can relate to alot of the tracks on this cd I just purchased it yesterday I give it 10 stars. Through it all GOD has blessed you, you're "Still Standing" much love keep doing what you are doing putting out true real music.
