I'm an old fan of Monica - But a newly inspired fan today!
After I saw on youtube the live shows on this duet, the BET performance (on-line), and the after party interview - I couldn't hold back. So I created an account on monica.com just to see where I could let an old fan's voice be heard.

The R&B industry is again on the verge of claiming something special here in 2010. Make way, there's a new champ in town! What Monica is straight up bringing to this record, to this industry, and to her fans is heart, soul, and a voice that sends chills through you. Her attention to detail is incredible. Note her entrances and exist's from a perfomance. Note her connectivity with the crowd. Perfection! Whats so scarry is that this much anticipated album hasn't even dropped yet. But everybody can feel it - This album is the stuff Grammy's are built on.

As far as this duet with KC though....here is the enevitable - this duet puts Monica back on the stardom journey, because Monica went up against "our best" (KCole) and after it was all sung and done - there was only one woman standing. For the longest I was simply stunned, but finally captured in words what this performance exposed. For me, it was like a 4-cylinder Mitsubishi going up against a V-8 Maserati. Because lets be real KC "our best" and all the other female vocalist's right now are simply out of Monica's league.

your courage is inspiring. Thank you for not selling yourself to the POP / Techno / Contemparary Music Industry. Your commitment to be true 2 the game has rewarded you. This is where you belong, this is where you will dominate! Keep up your attention to detail, your passion, and your drive. Because N-o-b-o-d-y is rockin it like you, best believe it.
