Re: Friend's Collaborating - Woman down...but MO's still standing!?!

Hey ya'll,

This is my second time "venting" on this website Smiling

But when I went back to listen to all the live performances from MO and KC on the "Trust" single. There is greatness, and there is awfulness. Now I know they are friends. But my question is: Should good friends really collaborate on songs when there is such a HUGE difference in voice quality?

It's not my intention to be disrespectful here. But I am behaving myself when I say "difference in voice quality." I think everyone understands when someone has an "off night." The problem is KC has been off (to put it as nice as you can) with this song for months and months. She has yet to make it her own.

So I really hope both camp's are taking note here. PLEASE do us all a favor.... I wouldn't sing with Monica until my vocals are matured. I don't think KC can take another hit like this. Just a thought here, but for the sake of their friendship they (might) want to consider whether or not they should collaborate on another song together. Monica is too good right now.

Peace out - get it Mo.....

Signed,
Nicolei from Indy

Hey girl I thought that i was the only one that thought that too. KC can sing but it is her style and Monica can sing but that is her natural talent. It is a difference when you are born to sing and it is natural when you have to be trained to sing. Monica has been doing her thang when she was a baby, but on the video that I saw I kind of felt some jealousy. Reason for being when KC was already singing she had the crowd but when Monica stepped out on the scene the crowd went crazy. KC stopped singing and said are ya'll cheering for me and then she said for her that is when she tried to take over the song Monica trying to respect her didn't have a chance. Their voice is nothing alike,KC voice is heavy and horrace, Monica voice is sweet light really she can change it and be all over but it sounds good she can hold a tune
